In your audition video, you are required to perform two musical components:

  • Solo - Please prepare one solo of your choice that best demonstrates your playing ability. Your solo should be a 1½- to 2-minute selection performed without an accompanist.
  • Required Excerpts – You will be expected to prepare all excerpts assigned for your instrument by Pacific Symphony Youth Ensembles.

Required excerpts for auxiliary instruments are included with the primary instrument excerpts.

Note: You may audition for Bass Clarinet as a primary instrument for PSYCB or PSYWE. For PSYO, you may audition for Bass Clarinet only as an auxiliary instrument to Clarinet.
