Embark on a magical journey under the stars as Pacific Symphony’s Principal Pops Conductor Enrico Lopez-Yañez invites the audience to a class reunion remembering the memorable professors, characters, and enchanted creatures from the beloved Harry Potter franchise. Revel in the spellbinding scores that defined this celebrated saga, from the awe-inspiring compositions of John Williams to the mystical works of Patrick Doyle, Nicholas Hooper, and Alexandre Desplat. Taking place on Friday, Aug. 23, this one-night spectacle celebrates the legendary music of all eight films—a must-attend event for wizards and Muggles alike at Irvine’s new outdoor venue, Great Park Live. All audience members are encouraged to come dressed up, but please leave props like wands, brooms, and umbrellas at home.

Lopez-Yañez commented on the wide appeal and popularity of the program, “Harry Potter is undoubtedly one of the most iconic cinematic universes in great part thanks to its iconic musical scores by iconic composers of our generation. Come relive the stories and memories as Pacific Symphony brings to life these epic scores in a spellbinding concert experience. You won’t want to miss it!”

About Great Park Live
In February 2024, The City of Irvine City Council and the Great Park Board approved the setup and operation of the temporary Great Park amphitheater, Great Park Live. In October 2024, after the FivePoint Amphitheatre announced its closure, the City began working to develop a plan to be able to avoid a gap in the delivery of live music in Irvine. After reviewing multiple options, the City Council authorized the establishment of a temporary live music venue that can accommodate a crowd of 5,000 at the Great Park Sports Complex. The facility serves as the summer home for Pacific Symphony and will host other live entertainment acts for the summer concert seasons in 2024, 2025, and 2026.
