Sharon O'Connor
Flute
Sharon O'Connor has played flute with Pacific Symphony since 1979, including its European tour in 2006 and numerous recordings. She has also performed with the Pasadena Symphony, Los Angeles Opera Orchestra, Opera Pacific from 1990 until its closure in 2008, and with touring ballet companies during their Orange County performances, including American Ballet Theatre, Royal Ballet Theatre of London, Stuttgart Ballet and Bolshoi Ballet.
O'Connor received her B.M. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and her M.A. From Ohio State University, Columbus, before moving to Southern California where she met her husband and later raised their family of three boys. She enjoys a very active lifestyle hiking on local beach and inland trails, fund-raising, participating in long distance bicycle treks, and pursuing natural solutions for anti-aging life strategies as a wellness advocate.
