David Stetson

David Stetson received his Bachelor of Music Performance degree on trombone with honors from the University of Southern California in 1979. In July of that year he won a position with the Oklahoma Symphony Orchestra, a post heheld for 10 years. Since returning to Southern California, Stetson has maintained an active freelance career in many recording studios and ensembles, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He also performs regularly with the Pageant of the Masters orchestra and the Long Beach Municipal Band. Stetson became a full-time member of Pacific Symphony in 2000, but had been playing extensively with the orchestra since 1994. He is on faculty at Chapman University, Biola University, Azusa Pacific University, and the University of California, Irvine.
