Alice Miller-Wrate
Second Violin
Alice Wrate has been a violinist with Pacific Symphony for 21 years. She is an avid chamber musician and actively plays with the Arroyo Quartet which is made up of Pacific Symphony musicians. She is also passionate about community engagement and is involved with programs such as Music Mixology that take classical music out of the concert hall in order to reach new audiences and introduce them to our amazing art form.
Wrate studied with Daniel Heifitz at the University of Maryland where she received her bachelor of music degree. While she was there she was coached by members of the Guarneri String Quartet and so began a lifelong love of chamber music. She attended Rice University for her master's degree and studied with Kathy Winkler.
