Haiyang Wang
Guest Conductor
Haiyang Wang enjoys an active career as a musician and music educator. He performs on the concert flute and baroque flute in solo, chamber, and orchestral settings, having given numerous performances in North America, South America, and China. As a founding member and Media Manager of Ensemble 126, a chamber ensemble focused on expanding the repertoire and performing on modern concert flutes as well as world and historic flutes, Wang has contributed significantly to the ensemble's mission.
Wang is a board member of San Diego Flute Guild, which aims to support the growth and development of flutists of all ages and levels of ability in San Diego and its surrounding areas. He also helps students in lessons, workshops, and masterclasses, and has taught at colleges, secondary, and primary schools. Co-founding G&W Music Studio in Orange County with Ms. Yunjia Guan, Wang has furthered his commitment to music education. Additionally, he serves as the Woodwind Coach at Pacific Symphony Youth Concert Band.
