Adam Neeley

Adam Neeley

Viola

When not on stage, you are most likely to find Adam traveling the world with his wife, Rachel, spending time with his two dogs, Capo and Nikita, watching Cincinnati sports teams (hometown pride!), reading a book, or working on a jigsaw puzzle.

Adam joined Pacific Symphony in 2012 after earning bachelor's and master's degrees at Northwestern University under the tutelage of Roland Vamos, and spending three years as a fellow with the New World Symphony in Miami Beach, Florida. He also holds positions with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and the Peninsula Music Festival orchestra in Door County, Wisconsin. Some of his favorite musical highlights include serving as principal viola for the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, attending the Tanglewood Music Center as a fellow for two summers, a stint as guest principal viola for the Macau Orchestra, and touring Asia with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Adam is an active chamber musician and studio artist as well, performing concerts around the country and participating in the recording of many film scores.

A passionate educator, Adam helped develop and has remained involved with Pacific Symphony's Santa Ana Strings, a partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Ana. He has also participated in Pacific Symphony's arts-X-press and Class Act programs, and has curated and performed educational chamber music performances as part of the Symphony's partnership with the Center for Autism in Orange County, California. He held a position at JSerra Catholic High School in San Juan Capistrano, California for four years as Assistant Orchestra Director, and maintains a studio of private students.
