We look forward to presenting a spectacular lineup of concerts that will take you on a musical journey like no other. The Pedals and Pipes series continues on April 1 with an exceptional performance by organist Anna Lapwood, a rising star in the classical music world. And with more than 500,000 followers on TikTok, she’s a genuine celebrity on the social media platform! Lapwood’s passion for music and her brilliant artistry promise to make this an unforgettable concert.
The excitement continues on April 14 and 15, as we welcome the legendary Gloria Gaynor to the stage. She has been entertaining audiences for over five decades with her incredible voice and hit songs like “I Will Survive” and “Never Can Say Goodbye.” We are honored to have her perform with Pacific Symphony and invite you to join us for a night of disco, dance, and pure joy!
Next up is Verdi’s Rigoletto, a timeless masterpiece of the operatic repertoire. The tragic story of the jester Rigoletto, his daughter Gilda, and the heartless Duke of Mantua unfolds in this dramatic tale of love and betrayal. With its stunning music and intriguing characters, this opera promises to leave you spellbound. Carl St.Clair will be joined by a celebrated cast of vocalists along with Pacific Chorale for three performances: April 20, 22, and 25.
Lastly, we are excited to present the final Cafe Ludwig concert this season on April 30. “Tales from Italy” celebrates the light-hearted beauty of Italian commedia dell’arte as portrayed in Stravinsky’s Suite Italienne and Pierrot by Musgrave. Tchaikovsky’s monumental Piano Trio in A Minor, written while the composer traveled through Italy, rounds out the program.
