A Rare Opportunity to Experience TikTok Organ Superstar Anna Lapwood

After Images by contemporary English composer Owain Park, Lapwood performs another selection from her suite on Zimmer’s Interstellar. She closes the concert’s first half with Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in C Major, a piece that showcases the full power and grandeur of the organ. Lapwood’s rendition of this masterpiece is sure to captivate the audience with its soaring melodies and intricate harmonies.
After intermission, Lapwood performs the third installment of her suite on Zimmer’s Interstellar. She performs a pair of Debussy works, and one is her own arrangement of the solo piano classic Clair de Lune. The final trio of works are by women composers—Florence Price, Ghislaine Reece-Trapp, and Kristina Arakelyan—in tribute to the recently completed Women’s History Month in March.
