Powerhouse OG Diva Gloria Gaynor Survives and Thrives
Superstar Gloria Gaynor is not only surviving but thriving (and still blessed with a great set of pipes!), having just released a new music video of her classic disco hit, “I Will Survive.” Check out the new music video here.

In addition to a maintaining a vibrant 40-year career, Gaynor has donated her time and talents to numerous causes. Recently she was part of a benefit for rescue dogs with Danny & Ron’s Rescue, where kids performed an adorable dance routine mash up of “I Will Survive” and Miley Cyrus’s new “Flowers” single.
On April 14-15, Gloria will light up the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall with her “Gloria Gaynor – I Will Survive Concert.”
The program opens with a variety of fun disco and party lineup, including Walter Murphy’s A Fifth of Beethoven, a Disco Hits Medley, favorites from the hit musical Grease!, and more. You can view the full program here.
Gloria will be joined by guest conductor Sarah Hicks, who will returns to Pacific Symphony having previously led its “Toy Story in Concert.”
Sarah Hicks is an in-demand conductor across an array of genres, and as an educator, arranger, producer, writer and speaker. A specialist in film and film in concert music, she has premiered Pixar in Concert and Disney-Pixar’s Coco and has live concert recordings on Disney+ and on broadcast for ABC. Her concert with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra of film music was released as an album and has been broadcast around the world and garnered over 80 million views on YouTube.
