Bryce Rivera

Tenor Bryce Rivera is currently attending California State University, Fullerton where he is earning a bachelor’s degree in Choral Music Education with a minor in Adolescent Development. He currently sings with the acclaimed CSUF University Singers under the direction of Grammy Award-winning Dr. Robert Istad and has studied undergraduate Music Education with Dr. Christopher Peterson. Bryce studied private voice with James Martin Schaefer (LA Opera), and Dr. Kerry Jennings.

In addition to performing as tenor soloist at Fullerton First United Methodist Church and with the Cantate Community Choir, he has performed with the CSUF Opera Theatre in scenes from Die Fledermaus and Turn of the Screw, and in mainstage productions as Daniel Buchanan in Street Scene by Kurt Weill and as Lucano in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea. For the 2023-2024 school year, he has been the CSUF American Choral Director Association student chapter president, with hopes of promoting diversity and new ideas throughout his tenure.
